Thats your opinion, but that is countered by the fact that the orginal creator says she made the show to be enjoyed both by the girl and her fathers.
As someone who really doesnt like ether show I can see the reason why both are popular, my problem with Adventure Time is they try to hard to do the Ren and Stimpy/Rocko thing of using dirty jokes in a kids show. It doesnt flow well to me.

Most of the fan stuff... outside the rule 34 is the reason I enjoy MLP.
The rule 34 is just a side effect of it being populor. Just like all the adventure time rule 34.
And acutally I could see adventure time doing that. Have you seen that short that the creater does online. its pretty adult, but still feels like an eps of adventure time.
